Behavioral Counseling

Most adoptable animals come to the Humane Society because of behavior problems, many of which can be alleviated with proper education of the care givers and re-training of the animals.

Namiko has a Masters of Science in Applied Psychology and has done work in behavior development, behavior modification and behavior analysis. While working in veterinary hospitals for a number of years, Namiko worked closely with a variety of breeds of dogs but in particular sporting and working breeds. She has taught private obedience lessons as well as group classes. Namiko has also attended many seminars on small animal behaviors offered by renowned behaviorists in the field.


Namiko has two male Schutzhund BH level Doberman Pinchers and a Rottweiler pup who is just starting obedience training.
