Foster Homes

The Humane Society of Kent County offers temporary foster care for the pets of those facing military deployment, housing disasters or entering domestic crisis centers.  (A recognized agency in the community must contact the Humane Society to make arrangements for this service.)

Additionally, Foster Friends provide homes for potentially adoptable animals while they recover from illness, injury, gain weight, mature, or nurse a litter.

If you are interested in helping the Society by being a foster home for these animals, please complete a Foster Friend Application and bring it to our facility for an interview.
